Dining Room Expansion and New Café

This project at Canterbury Woods was a 3,000 sf expansion to the existing structure of a retirement facility’s dining room. In a multi-phase transition, the dining room was extended to the patio and the interior was redesigned as a café. Independent living space looks out over the roof of the expansion of the new dining room, so Canterbury Woods elected for the roof would be a “green roof”- comprised of plants that grow in crushed stone with some organics. The dining room renovation included new light fixtures, ceiling, carpet and a curved wall which adds an aesthetic feel.
